Janmashtami Night Celebration

Janmashtami, the divine birthday of Lord Krishna, is celebrated by our community with a night-long program of devotion, culture, and joyful festivity. The celebrations begin in the evening with a beautifully staged dramatic reenactment of Krishna's birth and childhood stories, featuring elaborate costumes, traditional music, and enthusiastic performances by children and youth from the community.

The midnight aarti marking the precise moment of Lord Krishna's birth is the spiritual pinnacle of the celebration — a transcendent moment of collective prayer that fills the heart with devotion and joy. Dahi Handi competitions, where teams of young men build human pyramids to break a suspended pot of curd, provide thrilling entertainment for spectators of all ages. The evening concludes with prasad distribution and a community feast in the early hours of the morning.
