The Tree Plantation Drive is an ambitious community environmental initiative aiming to plant 1,000 native trees across degraded urban green spaces, school grounds, and roadsides within our locality. Working in partnership with the forest department and local municipal bodies, volunteers are guided by horticulturists on selecting the right species for each microhabitat, proper planting techniques, and long-term care responsibilities.
Each participating user is assigned a tree to adopt and nurture over the following year, receiving regular updates and check-in reminders through the community app. Geo-tagged records of every tree planted will be maintained in a public dashboard tracking the initiative's cumulative environmental impact in terms of carbon sequestered, air quality improved, and wildlife supported. This is community stewardship in its most enduring and visible form.
